Everything started for me in Bulgaria in 1989… On 10 of November, The Berlin Wall fell, a few mounts later, I left The Faculty of Physics of Sofia University and started, as a joke, to study the pantomime. In the beginning I started as an amateur (Mimе-Studio Alba) and then at the National Academy of Theater and Cinema. And so, I gradually learned the craft. On the streets and theater scenes of Sofia I met my first real audience. Then I came to Paris in 1993 to continue my education at The International School of Mimе in Paris “Marcel Marceau”. Upon my graduation in 1996, Mr. Marceau, invited me to become his assistant and teacher in the school. I worked at the School until it was closed in 2005. In parallel I joined the Company of Mime Marceau and so I’ve toured with him in France and internationally.
My direct references are: Marcel Marceau, Etienne Decroux, Jacques Lecoq, but also Grog, Victor Borge, Slava Polunin and Peter Shub, Théâtre de l’Ange fou and Cirque du Soleil (After a series of castings, I am one of his potential artists).
My favorite universes: the physical and corporeal theater, the commedia dell arte, the circus, the opera, the theater clown.
In my career, I have played alongside of Mime Marceau, Magali Noël, Emmanuel Vacca, Gérard Depardieu, Monica Bellucci, Laetitia Casta, Madonna Bouglione, Thierry Lhermite and Olivier Gourmet. I coached on artists like: Michaël Youn, Raphaël, Marie Trintignant and Jacques Higelin.
I worked under the direction of Claus Guth, Costantino Raimondi, Eddy Castors, Marcel Marceau, Jean Paul Scarpita, Mireille Laroche, Madonna Bouglione, Bertrand Tavernier, Pierre Jolivet, Costa Gavras …
In my work, I use and speak several languages: French, English, Bulgarian, Russian, Italian, Spanish. At the age of 49, I weigh 85 kg for 1m86. I regularly practice running, weight training and cycling (in 2014 I made a 3000 km bike tour between Paris and Bulgaria, where each evening I played my show “Monologue with Suitcase”. 34 days, 7 European countries, 26 shows). I also practice the horse riding and I have notions of theatrical fencing. I play like amateur: guitar, percussions, piano and harmonica.
I work mainly in France and in Europe, but with the films and advertisements in which I participate and especially with my shows I have already traveled all over the world: South America, the United States and Central America , Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
